In November, Feldman Ecopark’s Centre of Psychosocial Rehabilitation launched the new project for the workers of social services. It is provided for social workers, psychologist and psychotherapists from different regions of Ukraine, who undergo advanced training at psychotherapy department of Kharkiv Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education headed by prof. Borys Mykhailov.
In the Regional Landscape Park, the specialists acquire theoretical and practical skills necessary for the work with war veterans, families, which suffered from military actions, IDPs, widows and other people, who faced traumatic events in their lives.
The course lasts two weeks. During this time, the audience will be introduced to various clinical bases concerning the work with these problems, increase the level of theoretical knowledge, acquire new skills and learn new methods of work with posttraumatic stress disorders. The specialists will also learn about the alternative methods of psychocorrective influence.
“In current conditions, there is a huge demand for medical and psychological assistance with fast and positive effect. Considering the peculiarities of the contingent and the specific character of assistance, our Centre has developed the programmes aimed at the enhanced stabilization of psychoemotional state. We teach specialists these methods of psychocorrective influence. Especially interesting are the methods with the use of animal-assisted therapy, which were partially demonstrated to our guests within the framework of the educational programme,” the head of the Centre Tetiana Aliieva told.
According to her words, for more than three years, Feldman Ecopark’s Centre of Psychosocial Rehabilitation works with people suffering from posttraumatic stress disorders. The special attention is paid to war veterans and their families. It should be noted that the staff of the Centre is ready to cooperate with any centres and organizations rendering assistance to the ATO participants and their families.
