It is planned to establish a Children’s Ecology and Naturalist Academy based on the Feldman Ecopark’s Club of Young Naturalists. The aim of the Academy is the integration of all projects of the Regional Landscape Park directed at work with children, at their intellectual and physical development, at the education of the responsible and healthy rising generation.
“Several reasons prompt us to improve the structure. First, it is the constant increase of the number of children coming to study in the Ecopark, as there are more than 700 persons here now. Second, it is the variety of the existing groups and schools: today, we have the senior and the junior groups of young naturalists-biologists, the Theatre of Children and Animals, the Early Childhood Development Center “Growing up in the Ecopark,” the Master City, the Club of Young Cynologists, and the Horse Complex with its numerous units. Third, it is the wish to develop and the high results demonstrated by the children. This dictates us the necessity to rise to a new level,” the head of humanitarian projects of the Feldman Ecopark Iryna Yavorska noted. “I have no doubt that the establishment of the Academy will improve the work of the existing projects and will allow to open the new ones. Moreover, it will attract more animal and nature-loving children to the Ecopark, the ones who wish to learn something new and to spend time profitably outdoors.”
It should be reminded that the Feldman Ecopark’s Club of Young Naturalists is the largest in Ukraine among the similar out-of-school education facilities. Children of the Club are the repeated prize-winners of the national scientific competitions, the winners of numerous contests in equestrian and other kinds of sports. The Club celebrated its fourth anniversary on Sunday, October 23.
