New superhorses: the Friesian black mare by nickname Zhenneke and the Shire black horse with white socks by nickname Zidane appeared in the Horse Complex of Feldman Ecopark. Both horse giants arrived from the Kiev horseracing clubs and lodged in the new stable next to other draught horses – percherons. As soon as newcomers accustom, will set to work at once (participate in horse shows and give children rides.)
“Friesian horses are often called “black pearls” or “black gold of Holland”. It is one of the most beautiful and strong draft breeds of the world. We’ve already got such a pearl, now the second one appeared. They will compete together part in trick riding and stage shows —the Head of humanitarian programmes in Feldman Ecopark Iryna Yavorska told. – The Shire, or the English draught horse, appeared in Feldman Ecopark for the first time. This is the highest and the strongest horse in the world, whose far ancestors carried the armored knights. Here, young Ecopark’s visitors will be able to ride in the special passenger carriage which arrived together with superhorses”.
It should be noted that the Feldman Ecopark Horse Complex is one of the largest in Ukraine considering the number of animals and diversity of breeds. More than 50 horses of 17 breeds, nearly 30 ponies and nearly 20 donkeys are kept here. The Horse Complex is a location for the Centre for Non-Olympic Kinds of Equestrian Sport, the Classic Equestrian Sports Group, the Horse Theatre, the Pony Club, the Kind Donkey Farm and other departments of the Children’s Ecology and Nature Study Academy.
