In family of representatives of the South American continent – parrots monks (colitis) Feldman Ecopark is replenishment. At least ten baby birds were born. Ecopark’s employees can’t call exact quantity of cubs yet as kids rarely being shown from a parental nest.
One of the most motley and ringing birds in the world in Feldman Ecopark live in the known round open-air cage. Uniqueness of these animals is in their peaceful character, employees emphasize: parrots of colitis are so contact and frictionless so they easily get on with different neighbors – rabbits and quails. “Parrots of colitis are exemplary toilers. Every day we try to bring them rod branches, and they, as well as in environment, are tirelessly busy with construction of nests which ranges just surprise. In rare breaks between working days birds sleep and eat – obligatory for all the workface. It isn’t scary to lodge them with other animals – they are contact and never show aggression towards others”, – the deputy director Feldman Ecopark Valery Ivashchenko tells.
The idea of Ecopark to unite animals in one open-air cage so attracted the Ukrainian colleagues that in the Vinnytsia zoo are also going to build the similar general house for birds and rabbits.
We will note that about 200 parrots of colitis live in Feldman Ecopark. In total collection of animals of the Regional Landscape Park total more than 2 000 animals.
