Feldman Ecopark begins developing pony sport

The Horse Complex of the Feldman Ecopark opens a new direction of its work – pony sport. The Pony Club will develop two kinds of this unique sport promoting the well-balanced development of the youngest athletes, children aged 4-7: show jumping and show ring competition.

It will be possible to choose from the individual training and the complex lessons. Young athletes will not only improve their skills during the trainings. It is planned to carry out pony sport competitions of the closed internal tournaments first, and later of the open ones promoting the development of this kind of sport in Ukraine.

“Pony sport competitions are definitely spectacular and emotional sports events. Young athletes will be able to make their first steps on the sports arena of the show ring,” the Feldman Ecopark humanitarian programs head Iryna Yavorska notes. “Pony sport trainings develop many positive qualities in young athletes, develop skills and help to select a horse-racing specialization.”

The show jumping direction has already started to work. Children are currently forming groups. Every child starting from 4 years old is able to attend the pony sports lessons. At the first lesson, it is necessary to have a certificate issued by a pediatrician with the information that a child has no contraindications to horse riding. It will also be necessary to fill the application to attend the Pony Club. It is possible to register in the Horse Complex or over the telephone 097-803-42-28 (contact person – Karina, pony sport trainer).

It should be reminded that the Feldman Ecopark and all the directions of its activity are the project of the ICF “Oleksandr Feldman Foundation” and all the services are free, that is why pony sport lessons will also be free.

It should be noted that the Horse Complex of the Feldman Ecopark is a unique project combining educational and health-improving directions. It has over 60 animals: horses, ponies, and donkeys. The directions of the Complex’s work are the following: Pony Club, Young Horse Breeders Group, Horse-racing Club, Centre of Non-Olympic Horse Sports, Group of Mild Breeding of Horses, and Horse Theatre for Children and Youth.
