The director of the Municipal Enterprise “The memorial park “Drobytsky Yar” Irina Ferentseva addressed to the People’s Deputy of Ukrainian MP Oleksandr Feldman the appeal concerning an incident which took place in the territory of the Memorial on October 25. According to her, two unknown beat up the employee in the territory near the Drobytsky Yar memorial sign.
“Around 16.00 in the territory of the Memorial park “Drobytsky Yar” two young people appeared on the park’s territory, they walked and talked loudly. At this time in the same place the employee of command post whose working day came to an end was out walking the beat. When young people climbed a memorial sign, the employee wondered whether they looked for someone. Instead of the answer, they went down, stroke him down and began kicking. After that they ran away intothe forestation. Through some time the employee could regain footing and returned to the personnel room of the complex. This day he didn’t file a report, having decided not to attach much significance to this event. But on October 26 he met again the group of young people among whom there were those two who attacked him the day before in the territory of the Memorial park. They defiantly passed the central path, showing that they are owners of this territory. It was therefore decided to call the police and to file report. The police received footage from the building security cameras on which the moment of the fight was fixed.” — is said in the appeal to the MP.
Oleksandr Feldman declared that he will take investigation of this incident under personal control and will immediately send a deputy inquiry addressed to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
According to him, the connivance of the molestation in the places of memory of the victims of misanthropic ideologies, feeling of the impunity by the representatives of youth who lost moral compass and defying by it is a very dangerous symptom of a serious illness of all Ukrainian society.
