Animals rescued by Feldman Ecopark Good Home find new caring owners

The animals, which were sheltered by the Centre for Wild, Exotic and Domestic Animals Rescue “Feldman Ecopark Good Home” find new home and caring owners. During the last two months, more than 150 ‘tailed clients’ (dogs, cats, rats) rescued by Good Home moved to their new homes.

“We are sincerely grateful to people, who open their hearts for our animals. Many of these pets have difficult fates and complicated history of relations with people. We admire people, who are not afraid to take adult animals to their homes instead of sweet little kittens and puppies. They return the belief in humans to those, who have already faced betrayal, they give love and joy to them,” the Good Home’s head Iryna Podvoiska emphasized. “We do a huge work trying to find new owners for our animals, we publish their stories on social networks, and this work bears fruit: more and more people come to us.”

According to Iryna Podvoiska, it is especially pleasing that more than a half of animals, which have found a new home recently, are dogs, as it is usually more difficult to find home for them than for cats. Their stories are quite typical: caring people inform Good Home about the exhausted and intimidated animals (more frequently they are betrayed and abandoned by their owners), the lives of which are in danger. After that, they undergo treatment, rehabilitation and search of people, who are ready to warm these animals with their cordiality. Some of these stories are below.

Zombik came to Feldman Ecopark without anyone’s assistance. The appearance of this big and shaggy dog scared many people away. The first attempt to settle him in the new home was unsuccessful: the owners treated the dog not good enough, and he was taken back. Now, everything is fine with Zombik: the dog is cheerful and happy. He has been recently taken by his new family to the kayak trip, where the dog happily run along the meadows and tried to catch insects.

Liza is also happy in the new big home. The dog was found not far from Kharkiv airport. Now, she has many opportunities to communicate with children and with other animals, as well as a good care and love of its owners.

Zhanna was a puppy when she was brought to Good Home. The dog had to wait for a year to have a chance to become someone’s pet. But her patience was awarded with the wonderful owners, who also obtained their award, as it is just impossible to find a more devoted animal!

Alisa, the cat, waited for her proper people for two years. The abandoned cat together with her newborn kittens was found under the bush. In the shelter, she became a mother for some other abandoned kittens. The kittens were taken to the new homes, while Alisa continued to wait and hope. And now, the cat also has its caring family.

It should be noted that in addition to the search of home for the rescued animals, Good Home also helps volunteers to find new owners to the kittens and puppies with the help of the campaign “Saving the Life You Find a Friend.” The campaign is carried out in Feldman Ecopark on weekends, and more than 100 animals find home during a month.

It should be reminded that Feldman Ecopark Good Home was opened in 2010. In 2013, it became an all-Ukrainian service, which provides assistance not only to pets, but also to wild and exotic animals. In October 2017, Good Home launched the all-Ukrainian information and advice helpline to solve animal issues (0-800-302-303).
