Tobik the Wheelchair Dog who Underwent Rehabilitation in Good Home Finds New Home

admin-ajax

Good news for everyone who followed the destiny of Tobik the dog, who was terribly injured in the traffic accident and rescued thanks to the miracle and magic hands of veterinarians. The dog underwent rehabilitation in the Centre for Wild, Exotic and Domestic Animals Rescue “Feldman Ecopark Good Home.”

It should be reminded that the half-dead dog was found near the town of Lozova by caring people, who brought it to Good Home. Three vet clinics ‘sentenced’ the dog to death claiming that it is impossible to rescue the animal as the injuries are too heavy: broken spine and jaw. Nevertheless, Good Home has managed to find specialists, who literally assembled the dog. Thanks to the dog’s young age and zest for life, as well as human care, Tobik started to get better. Volunteers made a special wheelchair for him (as they already have the relevant experience, Tobik is the third wheelchair dog undergoing rehabilitation in Good Home).

“Despite the hard times, Tobik was very kind and cheerful, and gradually recovered. However, for the complete recovery he needed new, loving and caring owners. And we are very grateful to Yanina Vasylivna Ishchenko, who took our special dog for temporary holding, loved the dog sincerely, and now he stays to live in her home,” the head of the Centre for Wild, Exotic and Domestic Animals Rescue “Feldman Ecopark Good Home” Iryna Podvoiska told. “Tobik holds the spine well now, uses hind legs and is able to walk without wheelchair. Massage, hydrotherapeutic procedures, good care and love of the owners will definitely lead to the complete recovery of our dog. We sincerely believe in this!”

Since the opening of the Centre for Wild, Exotic and Domestic Animals Rescue “Feldman Ecopark Good Home” its workers and volunteers have already found new owners to nearly 22,000 pets and rescued more than 6,000 wild animals.
