The nine-year-old pupil of the Children’s Ecology and Nature Study Academy of Feldman Ecopark Olha Buzadzhy took the second place at the National competition Young Researcher. The scientific work “Studying the impact of feed change and density of contents on Viennese emperor’s viability” brought her deserved success.
“Olha and her younger sister Dasha study in the “ABC of Nature” group at the Theatre of Children and Animals. Last year, all young naturalists received caterpillars of Viennese emperor on breeding. The sisters Buzadzhy didn’t become an exception, however they received not five or ten, but more than 50 caterpillars into their family. Girls fed them, observed and conducted researches: how to make the quality of life of caterpillars better— the mentor, the head of the Theatre of Children and Animals Anna Harazhina told told them. — Two experiments by results of which scientific work had been written were made during breeding period. She passed remote stage of the National competition Young Researcher, and Olha was invited to Kiev. The brilliant report, good materials and, of course, inquisitiveness and hard work brought success — Olha returned to Kharkiv with the honorable diploma for the 2nd place”.
It should be noted that the pupils of Children’s Ecology and Nature Study Academy of Feldman Ecopark regularly participate in various contests, conferences, competitions and festivals. Recently, they successfully presented the scientific reports in the National competition of children’s scientific researches Inventors and Innovators.
It should be reminded that the Children’s Ecology and Nature Study Academy of Feldman Ecopark is one of Ukraine’s largest non-governmental out-of-school educational institutions operating on the basis of Feldman Ecopark for 7 years. More than 1,000 children study in it. There are more than a dozen of different departments and clubs in it. Lessons here not only broaden children’s mind, but also give the pleasure of communication with animals. The most popular directions of Children’s Academy are Horse Complex, Young Naturalists-Biologists Club and Theatre of Children and Animals.
