There is an additional excuse to visit the Regional Landscape Park – winter entertainments. A light frost, snowfall, deep snowdrifts isn’t a hindrance to spend time with the family and friends outdoors. Feldman Ecopark is the best place for it. Here in an ideal proportion the comfort and romanticism, entertaining service and the habitat, a bright festive show and white winter forest silence are combined. And, certainly, communication with our tiny animals.
The majority of animals and birds living in Feldman Ecopark are perfectly adapted to our climate. Flurry and frost pleases tigers, pumas, wolves, bears, other predators, as well as some frost-resistant primates, numerous hoofed and feathery fauna representatives a snowball and an icy cold on temper.
“Sometimes it’s more interesting to watch animals in the summer than in the winter. Many animals with onset of a cold season change coloring, become fluffier, behave more actively, – the deputy director Feldman Ecopark Valery Ivashchenko tells. – The majority of large predatory cats during a summer heat are indisposed to walks. An entirely different matter now – not only the Amur, but also Bengal white tigers and even lions aren’t idle to run and catch snowflakes. Even though they are Africans, but were born and grew up in our land therefore they enjoy our Ukrainian winter”.
In winter Feldman Ecopark you can also see brown bears – here they don’t hibernate, unlike the Himalayan relatives living in the neighborhood. Thermophilic inhabitants of the exotic countries winter in open enclosures equipped with the individual thermo mode. It’s possible to observe their behavior of through glass.
On snow-covered Ecopark’s paths peacocks, storks, ducks stately walk. In a contact zoo pigs, nanny-goats, lambs are always glad to communicate to little and adult visitors.
In the Horse complex you can get acquainted with the animals tamed by the person from ancient times. Here it’s possible to observe their life, feast your eye with performances of the four-footed actors, to visit dog therapy trainings and to try burro, horse and pony riding.
“We prepared sledges and a special ski harness for such walks. Except hoofed teams, we’ll also prepare dog teams. We plan to sledge children. Besides, we have a lot of various winter entertainments for any age – snow games, hills, sledges. Three times a week the Ski Club activities are held. Every weekend the master classes in production of New Year’s souvenirs are conducted for all visitors. We prepare a special festive program for the New Year and Christmas holidays”, – the head of humanitarian programs Feldman Ecopark Irina Yavorskaya told.
Winter rest in the fresh air always provides an opportunity to reinforce and to warm up. In Feldman Ecopark the visitors are always welcomed with hot tea, alcohol-free mulled wine and field porridge.
The Feldman Ecopark is hospitably open on weekdays and days off. Here you can have interesting and funny leisure – time will pass unnoticed and memoirs will remain for a long time.
