The animals taken from the zoozone of the city of Dnipro are settled in the enclosures on the main paths of the Feldman Ecopark. As of today, 30 animals underwent the complete veterinary examination: red deer, fallow deer, camel, llama, as well as goats, sheep, donkeys, pigs and birds. All of them are already sharing their new comfortable homes with those congeners, which lived in the Ecopark before. Everyone is able to look at the beautiful animals from Dnipro, as they will live in the special open enclosures prepared for the autumn and winter period during the next several months. There is an exception – a heat-loving new ones – the rhesus macaques, who have also undergone quarantine. They will not live in open enclosures until spring, because they already settled in their new winter homes, they tell in the Ecopark.
The other animals from Dnipro are porcupines, wolves, raccoon dogs, wild boars and raccoon. They continue undergoing all necessary examinations and the other medical procedures.
It should be noted that the specialists of the Feldman Ecopark are trying to pay attention not only to the veterinary work, but also to the simple communication favouring the faster adaptation of the animals to the new home.
“We can see already now that new animals feel themselves well: they have good appetite, they are not nervous any more, and they are ready to contact with the workers,” the Feldman Ecopark deputy director of zootechnic issues Valeriia Ivashchenko tells. “We have already managed to win the heart of seemingly the most dangerous and unpredictable predators – the wolves! The she-wolf shows a special interest in people. She is a very affectionate girl. She loves when the workers find time for her, when they stroke her.”
The specialists of the Feldman Ecopark assure that soon, in the nearest weeks, when the rest of the animals finish the necessary procedures, the guests will be able to look at all new ones.
It should be reminded that the Feldman Ecopark sheltered 61 animals from the zoo of Dnipro that closed on September 1.
