The members of Ski and Biathlon Club Feldman Ecopark won top places at Kharkiv Open Cup. Competitions took place last Friday, January 12, in the Olympic Sports Complex Temp and brought together more than 1,000 participants from city and the region. Young and adult athletes competed in skating stride – the Ecopark’s skiers became champions and prizewinners in junior age group.
” Solomiia Shulga won the first place, while Kate Skorobogatova won the second among girls born in 2009 and younger. Their peers, Rinat Novikov and Arkhip Kolomiiets became silver and bronze prize-winners among boys, while our skier Polina Stegacheva got the second place in the age group of 2007-2008 as well — the head of Feldman Ecopark Ski and Biathlon Club Svitlana Ilyinskikh reported. — In general, the year started successfully – the results are worthy, and there are still a lot of competitions ahead and, I hope, new victories.”
It should be reminded that the Feldman Ecopark Ski and Biathlon Club was opened in October 2016. It is one of the most popular sports direction within the 1,000 Teams Tournament project. About 50 children aged from 7 up to 14 years train in the Club free of charge all year round. Since 2017, the special programme for children with special needs, including vision-impaired children and children with musculoskeletal disorders is being implemented here. Lessons take place 3 times a week in the territory of the Social and Humanitarian Multi-Complex Feldman Ecopark.
