Two important events in the field of ecological education will take place in Kyiv on May 17-19: Young Researcher, the national competition of children’s research papers in the field of natural history, and the national competition of young inventors and innovators in ecological and naturalistic field. The Club of Young Naturalists of the Feldman Ecopark will participate in both events. The right to represent the Club was earned by the ones of the most active young naturalists: Liza Pokhodenko, Vlada Bondarieva, Katia Kanevska and Vlada Bondarenko.
“This is not the first time for them to take part in similar events. Their works were in finals of many regional and national competitions,” their teacher Olena Harazhina tells. “I am sure that our naturalists will demonstrate the high level training and the considerable bundle of knowledge obtained in the Feldman Ecopark.”
It should be noted that several days ago Katia Kanevska and Vlada Bondarenko returned from the All-Ukrainian Forum of Young Ecologists. This annual gathering of talented children and teenagers occupied in nature conservation activities took place in the Young Guard, the Ukrainian Children’s Centre (city of Odessa). These three weeks spent on the Black Sea shore were very rich. Various conferences, master classes, subject photo exhibitions, competitions and relay races – and young scientists of the Feldman Ecopark were the first everywhere. Now, they are preparing for the trip to Kyiv, where the schedule promises to be very interesting as well.
It should be reminded that the trip of the children from the Feldman Ecopark’s Club of Young Naturalists to the All-Ukrainian Forum of Young Ecologists was financed by the International Charitable Foundation “Oleksandr Feldman Foundation.” The participation in Kyiv competitions will be paid by the Foundation as well.
