Young naturalists of the Feldman Ecopark took part in the All-Ukrainian Forum of Young Ecologists, which started on April 23. This annual meeting of talented children and teenagers engaged in nature conservation activities, takes place in the Ukrainian Children’s Centre “Young Guard” (city of Odesa.) The winners of ecological and naturalistic international, national and regional competitions (8 persons from each field) take part in the forum. Kharkiv oblast delegation consists of three members of the Club of Young Naturalists of the Feldman Ecopark: Kateryna Kanevska, Khrystyna Sementsova and Vlada Bondarenko. They are among the most active and talented young naturalists out of almost 450 members of the Club, the leaders note. With their serious scientific researches in the field of biology, as well as the practical exercises in the Theatre of Children and Animals (the most spectacular unit of the Club of Young Naturalists), they are worthy of right to take part in this prestigious Forum.
“The girls have been studying here for several years,” their mentor and the head of the Theatre of Children and Animals of the Feldman Ecopark Olena Harazhina tells. “They are not only the versatile artists being able to perform with different animals, they talented researchers as well. Their scientific achievements include the works, which made them finalists and winners of the national competitions.”
The forthcoming three weeks on the coast of the Black Sea will be eventful for the young scientists of the Feldman Ecopark. The program of the Forum includes different conferences, master classes, subject photo exhibitions, film festival, gala concert, nature conservation relay race, walking tours, and excursions.
It should be noted that the trip of the members of the Club of Young Naturalists of the Feldman Ecopark to the All-Ukrainian Forum of Young Ecologists was financed by the ICF “Oleksandr Feldman’s Foundation.”
