The animalistic exposition which is presented in AVEC Gallery was renewed. The works of young pupils of the Kharkiv City Arts Centre for Youth and Children appeared there. About 60 children’s works which are presented on the gallery’s second floor are devoted to one of the closest to the person animal – a cat.
“It is known that children are the most sensitive and sincere audience. Having visited the adult master’s exhibition, the young artists decided to tell about their pets. If at the previous exhibition children from Repin’s school showed the dogs images, now the other animal is in the center of attention. In their works the young pupils of the Kharkiv City Arts Centre for Youth and Children decided to represent the house favorite – a cat «— the director of the AVEC Gallery Elena Pozdnyakova told.
Let’s remind that now in the main hall of the AVEC Gallery takes place the “Friend’s Image” exhibition representing masterpieces of bronze animalistics from Oleksandr Feldman’s collection. Initially the exhibition has been devoted to the dog’s image; later it was added with the sculptures of other animals. More than 100 bronze sculptures of more than 40 authors of various art schools belonging to three generations are presented in the exposition. Among them — the works of the Parisian school’s outstanding representatives which has played a leading role in formation and distribution of an animalistic genre in the European sculpture are also submitted the German, Austrian, Belgian and Russian schools of animalistic plasticity.
