On the eve of a new winter season, the Feldman Ecopark’s Ski and biathlon club started a series of classes under a special programme for the children with special needs. Children actively train and going to occupy skis as soon as weather allows.
According to the head of the Feldman Ecopark Ski Club Svitlana Ilinskikh, lessons for children with special needs from the Kharkiv special educational complex №8 started at the beginning of November. About 15-17 people aged from 11 up to 17 years visit these trainings.
“The lessons take place once a week. Now children are engaged in the general physical training including run or intensive walking, exercises on the ski machine and other activities aimed at the development of force and physical coordination. When snow falls, the occupations on a ski track will begin. There are special ski beans for those children who aren’t capable to stand on skis, ” — Svitlana Ilinskikh says. According to her, the Ski and biathlon club Feldman Ecopark has also prepared the special programme of lessons for visually impaired.
