The “Methods of Medical and Social Rehabilitation during the Post-military Period” conference will take place on October 3 in Kharkiv. The event will take place with the assistance of the International Charitable Foundation “Aleksander Feldman Foundation”. Eminent foreign and Ukrainian experts and representatives of the volunteer organizations of Kharkiv will participate in this conference.
Among the declared Italian speakers are:
- Lino Lacaniña responsible for the volunteer program of Don Carlo Gnocchi Foundation (Milan);
- Irma Misalya, the director of the rehabilitation center “Sim-patia” (Komo);
- Nikola Liboni,the development engineer of the rehabilitation center “Sim-patia” (Komo);
- Silvio Catharina, the director of the social center “L’imprevisto” (Pezaro).
Among the declared Kharkiv speakers are:
- Roman Marabyan, the chief physician of the Kharkiv regional Child Care Center №1;
- Nataly Chernukha, the psychologist and co-trainer in the center of rehabilitation of soldiers of the anti-terrorist operation “Sertse Voyina”;
- Andrey Penkov, the member of the committee on palliative care by the Supervisory board, the chief physician of the out-patient clinic “Pediatr-Plus”.
The event will also sum up the results of the welfare festival “Heart Is Bigger, than War” which will take place from September 30 to October 3, 2016 in Kiev and Kharkiv within the cooperation between Ukraine and Italy.
As organizers declare, social and cultural events which will be carried out within the festival are directed to reconsideration of person’s vulnerability enduring experience of war. “Today’s Ukrainian conflict showed that it is necessary to cultivate the new attitude towards the people traumatized by war, the attention to humanity as to the positive beginning of overcoming crisis shall be the cornerstone of this relation” – foreign experts emphasize.
