First International watercolor exhibition “Our Wonderful World” will take place in Kharkiv from July 15 to July 22. The AVEC Gallery and Feldman Ecopark will become the main art platforms of this large-scale creative festival.
In AVEC Gallery (Sumska St., 70), Kharkiv citizens and city visitors will be able to see more than 150 works of artists painting in water-colors from 34 countries. The official opening of an exhibition with the participation of authors will be held on July 15 (beginning at 4 p.m.). On Monday, July 16 the president and the founder of the International Watercolor Society (IWS) Atanur Dogan will hold a master class for the participants and the guests of this event (beginning at 10 a.m.). This day, local watercolor art maîtres Igor Yurchenko and Oleksandr Bobryshev will show their talent to colleagues and public as well.
“We’ve suggested artists from all round the world to share the brightest impressions and memoirs in order to open a window to the bright and emotional, amazing world of modern watercolor art for the audience” — the organizers explained the main idea of an exhibition.
Plein-airs, tours, master classes and other various art events are planned by organizers of the international exhibition which will take place in a festival format. Nonresidents and foreign guests will be able to get acquainted with the main spiritual sights of Kharkiv and to visit the most picturesque places of the region. In the territory of one of them – in the Social and Humanitarian Multi-Complex Feldman Ecopark — the charitable campaign “Watercolor Ecopark” will take place. The participants of “Our Amazing World” exhibition will create a 7m watercolor which will be contributed to the International Charitable Foundation “Oleksandr Feldman Foundation” upon the completion of its work. This work of the international fine arts will become the lot in the Art of Mercy project.
