Kharkiv’s first Eco-run will take place in the Feldman Ecopark on Sunday, October 2. The event will be held under the patronage of the International Charitable Foundation “Oleksandr Feldman Foundation” within the large-scale social and sports project 1,000 Teams Tournament. The initiator of the Eco-run is the Marathon Club “Kharkiv.” The project is aimed at joining the ecological and sports components of a healthy lifestyle for the active open-air pastime on the first Sunday in October.
Everyone is able to take part in the Eco-run: from the masters to the beginners. Those who love athletics, healthy lifestyle and active rest will be able to cover a distance of 2.6 km or 10 km. The route passes through a picturesque territory of the Regional Landscape Park. The check-in and start are near the main entrance to the Feldman Ecopark. The participants may use buses to get to the Ecopark (departing from Lisopark bus station at 10 a.m.) It is expected that the Eco-run will start at 11 a.m.
The announcement of the Eco-run’s results and the award presentation ceremony starts at noon near the start/finish line. The total winners will get the diplomas and prize money from the ICF “Oleksandr Feldman Foundation.”
“We hope that the Kharkiv’s autumn Eco-run will become a tradition. It is a long-distance cooperation,” the organizers of the sport event say.
It should be reminded that the 1,000 Teams Tournament project, including the Eco-run, is a long-term social and sports project of the International Charitable Foundation “Oleksandr Feldman Foundation”. It is implemented in Kharkiv and Kharkiv oblast since 2001. The tournament is the first large-scale project in Ukraine aimed at the revival of mass children and youth sport. The 1,000 Teams Tournament project is currently based on the territory of the Regional Landscape Park “Feldman Ecopark” uniting different kinds of sport and active rest. The Tournament provides opportunities to carry out training and competitions in futsal, ping-pong, volleyball, streetball, skiing, cycle race, cross-country run, different kinds of gymnastics, chess, and other kinds of sport.
