The international conference on the problems of rehabilitation of the ATO victims takes place in Kharkiv. The main event of the first day was the presentation of the book “Ecotherapy” by the team of Kharkiv specialists in the area of medicine and psychology. This scientific research generalizes foreign experience and provides theoretical rethinking of practical knowledge acquired by the country’s scientists since the establishment of the Feldman Ecopark Centre of Psychosocial Rehabilitation.
“We have summed up the experience of psychocorrective lessons for children and teenagers. We’ve got enough material for the analysis to generalize it and to declare about the new approach. It is a method, which synthesizes the previous concepts. This book is about this new method,” the science editor of the book “Ecotherapy,” the head of the Feldman Ecopark Centre of Psychosocial Rehabilitation, Doctor of Medical Science, Honoured master of sciences and engineering, professor Borys Mykhailov told during the presentation. “The methods of using certain components of nature factors for medical and rehabilitation purposes exist in the global practice for a long time. However, the fundamentally new concept was created in our country, in Kharkiv. It is a complex of therapeutic, restorative and developmental measures based on a person’s immersion in the natural habitat.”
It should be reminded that the International Conference “Psychosocial Rehabilitation of the Victims and IDPs from the ATO zone in the Feldman Ecopark Centre of Psychosocial Rehabilitation of Children and Adolescents” takes place in Kharkiv on October 12-13. The organizers of the conference are the International Charitable Foundation “Oleksandr Feldman Foundation,” the National League of Psychotherapy, Psychosomatics and Medical Psychology of Ukraine, and the Kharkiv Medical Academy of Post-graduate Education under the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
