The children’s fashion show within the framework of UKRAINIAN KID’S FASHION WEEK took place in AVEC Gallery.
Over 30 young models from Kharkiv, Poltava and Donetsk aged 2-14, including the IDPs from ATO area took part in the event. They demonstrated suits made by the leading Ukrainian designers of children’s clothes: casual clothes and evening dresses. For the majority of the participants it was the first time on the stage. Before the show, they underwent only several training lessons; however, they were able to demonstrate their talents in full.
30 children from Donets and Luhansk oblast also took part in the show. They demonstrated Ukrainian folk suits.
The event was charitable. The means were spent on the infusion pump for chemotherapy, which was given to the 16th children’s hospital of the city of Kharkiv.
According to the organizers of the event, its main idea was to bring joy to people, to develop children’s fashion art in our country, and to make good deeds. “These things, made by these children now, will surely help them in the future. This makes them confident, introduces them to the world of fashion, and teaches them to help other people,” noted the organizer of the kid’s fashion week Oksana Utkina.
She thanked the International Charitable Foundation “Okeksandr Feldman’s Foundation” for the provision of the premises for the show. “I’ve been working with the AVEC Gallery and the Feldman Ecopark for the long time. And I am glad they responded at once and became our partners,” Ms. Utkina told.
“The support of children is one of the main directions of the work of the Okeksandr Feldman’s Foundation. The event was held within the frameworks of one of its programmes – “The future is in children’s eyes.” We always support the talented youth,” the director of the Foundation Maksym Vodka noted.
The fashion week shows will be held in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv and Odesa. Over 450 young models take part in them, as well as 200 migrant children from the ATO area.
