“We were born in Yalta, the city on the Black Sea coast. Our childhood passed in an environment of picturesque gardens, cascades of the Crimean Mountains, lavender valleys and pink fields, among odors of Nikitskii Botanical Garden. Here our creative tastes and outlook were formed. When there is a lot of sun, sky and sea in your soul — you see the world around in absolutely different way. And then it would be a sin not to capture this beauty on canvas, not to share with the viewer the feelings and vibrations of your heart — the Misses Samoylik tell about their creativity. – This spring we took part in plain-air on the Thasos Island in the Aegean Sea. There we’d discovered Greece with her olive gardens, marble beaches, thousand-year history. We’ve understood that the Crimea and Hellas are like brother and sister, and there are no borders and barriers between the Black and the Aegean seas. Through the exhibition we also want to tell people about this opening “.
According to art critics, the sisters’ art handwriting is different, but their works reflecting individual life experience harmoniously complement each other in the integrated display area.
