Exhibition “Serhii Kachin. Pastel.” will open in the AVEC Gallery on August 21 (at 6 p.m.). Three dozen works of Serhii Kachin, the famous Ukrainian artist from Chuhuiv, will be presented. The specialists consider this author engaged in decoration and art glass processing and production of perfect stained-glass windows for many buildings of Kharkiv and other cities, to be an outstanding craftsman in pastel drawing as well. His works decorate the museums and private collections in many countries of the world – the USA, Great Britain, Australia, Canada, Germany, Ireland, Singapore, Russia, China, etc. The Kharkiv citizens and city visitors will be able to enjoy a real profligacy of colours in Serhii Kachin’s pictures until the end of September.
In parallel with the exhibition “Serhii Kachin. Pastel.”, the exposition of ancient cards with views of Kharkiv of the end of XIX — the first half of the XX century will take place in the AVEC Gallery (the 2nd floor) . It will open on August 22, on the eve of the City Foundation Day, and will work till September 10. More than 400 original cards from the Feldman Family Museum collection will allow observing Kharkiv of the last pre-revolutionary decades and the first years of the Soviet era. According to the organizers of an exhibition, its exhibits aren’t just rare works of photographic art, but also the valuable historical source containing various information on appearance and daily life of our city in the past.
Both exhibitions in the AVEC Gallery (Sumskaya Str., 70) will work every day, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The entrance is free!
