The exhibition “Heritage of Ancestors: Trypillian Civilization” will be opened in the AVEC Gallery on September 21.
Feldman Family Museum has prepared for the visitors the artifacts of ancient culture of farmers, which covered the lands of Upper Dniester in the west through Middle Dniester in the east. “Trypillian civilization existed on Ukrainian land for more than 2,000 years. This culture is an integral part of a huge circle of highly developed agricultural cultures of the late Stone Age and the Copper Age, which are united as the “civilization of Old Europe.” When searching for the roots of people who lived on Ukrainian lands, one certainly addresses to the times of Trypillian civilization. Trypillia is the first bread, the first metal, the beginning of agricultural world view on the land that currently holds the name of Ukraine. The creators of Trypillian civilization together with other peoples were the ones of the originators of European civilization, they made a significant contribution to the formation of modern culture of Ukraine,” the organizers of the exhibition tell.
The stem of the exposition is a world-famous Trypillian ceramics from the collection of a well-known collector and philanthropist, Ukrainian MP Oleksandr Feldman.
The opening night of the exhibition will take place in the AVEC Gallery (Kharkiv, 70, Sumska Str.) on September 21 starting at 6 p.m. The exhibition will be open through December 3. The entrance is free. The Gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. without weekends. From 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., excursions will be conducted at the exhibition.
