“White crow” is a New Year’s exhibition that opened in the AVEC Gallery on December 23.
The exposition represents the works by 10 famous young talented authors. Each of them, individually and passionately reflected the original spirit of our native land, creating the artistic world free of the dull hustle and bustle of the city.
All artists are the participants of the annual open air expedition to “Voronia Slobodka” (‘Crow’s suburbs’) that is located in one of the most picturesque places of Sloboda Ukraine, near the village of Melykhivka, Nova Vodolaha region, Kharkiv oblast. According to the art supervisor of the “White crow” project Olena Shchehlova, this is their fourth open air.
The main purpose is to unite creative people working in different areas of visual art, and to provide them with opportunity to communicate, to share their ideas and experience.
“Our team consists of both recognized masters and young talents,” Olena Shchehlova tells. “All of them are united by the wish to create, to make something beautiful and to give it to people. That is why, our project is called ‘White crow’, as artists are special people, sometimes even ‘out of this world’. They differ from others and not always face understanding. But this does not stop them, and they continue to make their inspiring work.”
According to young authors, the participation is similar events is a great honour being of great benefit to them.
“I think that I am very lucky to work in this project together with mature painters, learn from them,” tells the young artist from Okhtyrka, the student of the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts Kseniia Logvinenko. “And I am happy that my works are today in the AVEC Gallery – the best exhibition hall of Eastern Ukraine.”
The Director of the AVEC Gallery Olena Pozdniakova notes that similar exhibitions are a long-standing tradition.
“Starting from the first day of the AVEC Gallery work (celebrating the 15th anniversary this year), one of its main purposes was the support of talented youth and the advancement of the art of Sloboda Ukraine. In general, this direction is the priority one in the work of the activity of the International Charitable Foundation “Oleksandr Feldman Foundation”,” Olena Pozdniakova emphasizes.
Everyone may plunge into the magic world created by the “White crow” project just by visiting the AVEC Gallery!
