The exhibition of landscapes and still lifes by Kharkiv artist Viacheslav Babak “Nature Inspires” will be opened in AVEC Gallery on November 23 (the beginning is at 6 p.m.)
Kharkiv residents and guests of the city will be able to look at more than 60 pictorial works created by a talented master during long years of creative work. The principal character and the focal image of these works is the nature of his native land, which inspired the artist during his trips to different corners of Ukraine. The visitors to the exhibition will be able to join these imaginary trips along the expanses of the native country and to visit together with the author Sloboda forests, Black Sea steppes, the Carpathian Mountains and Dnipro steeps.
According to the experts, the works by Viacheslav Babak are filled with lyrics and romantic mood. “His coloristic palette is devoid of excessive expressivity, and almost in every painting the image of the nature is expressed with the help of calm ‘sounding’ of soft undertints adding airiness and depth,” the experts say. Arts critics place Kharkiv artist among the notable Ukrainian landscape painters of the present times.
Reference: Viacheslav Petrovych Babak was born in 1946 in the city of Yaroslavl in the family of painters. The first lessons of painting were given to him by his father. He attended T.G. Shevchenko School of Art in Kyiv and graduated from Kharkiv Institute of Arts and Industry (department of artistic graphics). Since 2003, he is the member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. He works in landscape painting style. He is the participant of regional and national exhibitions, and his personal exhibitions were exposed in Germany and Ukraine (Kyiv, Kharkiv). He is a participant of national and international plein-airs. The works are available in private collections of European countries, the USA and Israel, as well as in Ukrainian museums (in particular, in Krasnohrad, Chuhuiv).
The exhibition “Nature Inspires” in the AVEC Gallery (70, Sumska Str.) is open for everyone from November 24 (from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.) The entrance in free.
