A literary and musical campaign Life is Going on and All without Corrections on the occasion of Lina Kostenko’s birthday took place in the AVEC Gallery. Young members of the Rampa art studio (Сultural Сentre of the Osnovyanskii district, Kharkiv) became its participants. They recited poems of the world famous Ukrainian poetess to the public gathered in showroom, while the students of the Kharkiv National University of Arts named after I. P. Kotlyarevsky accompanied them on banduras.
“We decided to wish Lina Vasiliievna a happy birthday by virtue of this poetry reading. Our pupils — children aged from 6 to12 years prepared special programme which included Lina Kostenko’s poems and favourite works from her childhood: fragments from The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, sonnets by Shakespeare, verses by Arsenii Tarkovsky” — the head of the Rampa studio Nataliia Kuprykova told.
Besides, during the literary and musical campaign in the AVEC Gallery the song on Lina Kostenko’s poem “The evening sun, I thank you for the day…” was heard. The student of the Kharkiv National University of Arts named after I. P. Kotlyarevsky Mariia Mytko performed it on a bandura. She wrote music to this poem especially for the Birthday of the poetess.
