The new animal found its home in the Feldman Ecopark. It is a beaver named Tasia. The new animal under the care of the Ecopark is 4 years old and it currently undergoes rehabilitation. The volunteers of the charitable organization “The ark of charity” addressed the All-Ukrainian Service for wild, exotic and domestic animals rescue “Feldman Ecopark Good Home” with the request to save the animal.
“Before the Ecopark, Tasia was in the private clinic, where the activists took this injured female. They rescued the animal from the poachers’ trap, however, the traumas were so severe, that the vets were forced to amputate a limb,” the Feldman Ecopark deputy director of zootechnic issues Valeriia Ivashchenko told. “Tasia will not be able to return to the wildlife, because it is just impossible for her to survive there. However, here, in the Ecopark, we will provide her with all the necessary conditions for her to feel comfortable and lack nothing.”
In the Feldman Ecopark, Tasia is currently under the intensive care of vets: they watch the animal’s adaptation and diet. The enclosure must always have water and habitual useful products: hay, apples, carrots and fresh twigs, the specialists tell.
The current enclosure for the beaver is temporary. Soon, Tasia will get a couple for a young family to move to the new enclosure together.
It should be noted that the All-Ukrainian Service for wild, exotic and domestic animals rescue “Feldman Ecopark Good Home” works in the Feldman Ecopark for over 2 years. During this time, the specialists managed to rescue and find home for over 2,000 animals.
