Palm Sunday (Entry of Christ into Jerusalem) is celebrated by the Orthodox the Sunday before Easter. People wish each other health as strong as a palm. The Regional Landscape Park also devoted this day to folk traditions and healthy lifestyle.
In the morning, the guests were met with active games and entertainments, and the main sports event of the weekend was Eco-skipping – a skipping tournament. – Both adults and children were able to compete in this exercise making everyone healthier.
“Ecopark is open for all kinds of sport, for all manifestations of a healthy lifestyle,” the founder of the Feldman Ecopark Oleksandr Feldman tells. “We want to provide the residents of Kharkiv with really active outside activities for the whole family and to make their life brighter and their mood better.”
The festive hospitable atmosphere of the Feldman Ecopark was appraised by the participants of the Water of Life international song festival. It should be reminded that over 100 singers from Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Armenia and China took part in the vocal competition arranged by the Derhachi Regional State Administration under the support of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration. They visited the Regional Landscape Park on Sunday, get acquainted with its inhabitants and sights, and took part in the activities of the Ecopark.
As for the latter, the master classes in creation of Easter souvenirs should be noted. Everyone was able to learn how to make cards of materials at hand, to put drawings and traditional folk patterns on Easter eggs.
