The Center of Psychosocial Rehabilitation Feldman Ecopark will develop a bibliotherapy. The head of psychological service of the Center Tatyana Aliyeva told that carrying of outdoor sessions of a bibliotherapy is organized in Ukraine for the first time.
“Practice of the organization of similar “clubs of readers” outdoors is widespread in Europe and America. We prepare a special zone where bibliotherapy sessions in the territory of Ecopark will take place. It will be the place located far from noise and welcoming people to reading and discussion”, – Tatyana Aliyeva noted.
For carrying sessions the groups of children and teenagers will be brought together. The leader will read the picked-up work within 90 minutes (in particular, it will be fairy tales for children) then the group will discuss its plot, acts of heroes, etc.
“Our purpose is creation of the Club of Young Readers. For reading books of high art level which heroes shall be spiritually close to the reader will be selected. The situations described in the book shall be close to experiences of participants of occupation, induce to actions, fight, search of inner spiritual powers. It is necessary to avoid plots in which the success to the hero comes accidentally, tiresome books. On bibliotherapy sessions moral and household stories, adventure literature, historical novels, books about travel assume popularity. Popular scientific literature is especially recommended”, – the head of a health service of the Center Inna Vashkite told.
Bibliotherapy (by the determination accepted by Association of Hospital Libraries of the USA) is use of the material as therapeutic means which is specially selected for reading for the purpose of the solution of personal problems by means of directed reading. In medical institutions the library plays for patients a role of the factor distracting from thoughts of an illness, helping to transfer physical sufferings. Also the bibliotherapy is a component of psychotherapeutic treatment of patients with neuroses and parts of mental patients.
We will remind that in Feldman Ecopark passed the first stage of the campaign “Let’s Create the Library of Ecopark Together”. Friends of Regional Landscape Park responded to a request to share the books in order that everyone who will come to visit Ecopark had an opportunity to combine an outdoor recreation with fascinating and useful reading.
