A master-class devoted to the issues of rendering psychological assistance to children with hyperactivity and the members of their families was carried out in the Regional Landscape Park within the round-table conference “Psychotherapy for children with hyperkinetic disorder (HKD).” The heads of the Feldman Ecopark Centre of Psychosocial Rehabilitation Tetiana Aliieva and Inna Vashkite shared their experience. The specialists demonstrated the use of natural and preformed factors in their work with children with HKD, the specificity of formation of psychocorrective programme.
“The psychocorrective programme for children with HKD is mainly focused on a complex approach including group lessons, trainings for children and parents, and psychoeducational lectures aimed at the increase of interpersonal interaction between family members,” the head of the Centre’s psychological service Tetiana Aliieva told.
The elements of animal-assisted therapy were demonstrated. “Equine-assisted therapy for children with hyperactivity plays a key role. At the first stage, it works as a psychoemotional stabilization; later, it becomes an element of social rehabilitation,” the head of the Centre’s medical service Inna Vashkite told.
The Centre’s child psychologist Iryna Kurtyshova carried out a master-class in techniques of stabilization of emotional condition of children with HKD, the peculiarities of group activities and the content of psychoeducational lectures.
The conference was attended by psychiatrists, neurologists, narcologists, psychotherapists and other specialists, including the international experts. The International Charitable Foundation “Oleksandr Feldman Foundation” was an official partner of the round-table conference.
