Peace in Family – Peace in Ukraine campaign took place in Feldman Ecopark

On Sunday, the Association of Large Families “AMMA” (NGO) carried out the Peace in Family – Peace in Ukraine campaign in Feldman Ecopark. It was attended by 60 adults and children including the families of the war veterans and the IDPs from the ATO zone. They carried out the flash mob “We are against violence,” the contest of family pictures, took part in creative master classes, the Eat&Fly good deeds challenge and the entertaining program prepared by Feldman Ecopark. The visitors were able to ride horses and donkeys at the Horse Complex, to communicate and to play with sociable four-legged friends in the Kennel Club. Wonderful winter weather was favourable for active open-air games, while hot tea with tasty hot cereal refreshed strength and were a very important addition of the day.

According to the words of campaign’s organizers, they have chosen the Regional Landscape Park for a reason.

“Feldman Ecopark perfectly conforms to the ideology of our event titled “Peace in Family – Peace in Ukraine,” which is devoted to the International campaign “16 Days against Violence” and is carried out within the frameworks of the Kharkiv-based public platform “Cultural Equality”,” the president of the Association of Large Families “AMMA” Yuliia Ibrahim told. “Communication with animals unites, makes both adults and children kinder. The atmosphere of peace, love, friendship and mutual understanding reigning here is not only favourable for the joint rest, but also favours the support of family values. These values are the foundation of our society, the reliable island in the surrounding ocean of violence.”

It should be reminded that the 16 Days against Violence international campaign is held in Ukraine from November 25 to December 10. It was initiated in 1991 by the Center for Women’s Global Leadership. The global community supports this campaign every year. Governmental and non-governmental organizations from over 100 countries carry out the events aimed at drawing attention to the problem of violence in any of its forms, and to create in certain region or in certain territory the violence-free social space. Ukraine joined the 16 Days against Violence international campaign in 2001.
