Last Sunday, the Feldman Ecopark Open Cup, the competition in cross-country skiing was held in the territory of the Social and Humanitarian Multi-Complex. More than 150 experienced sportsmen and beginners from the city of Kharkiv and Kharkiv oblast participated in these competitions organized within the 1,000 Teams Tournament project. The youngest skier was only 2 years old, while the most senior participant was 60. As has been stated, they won special prizes from the organizers.
Certainly, one and all skiers got attendance certificates, while winners in each group received diplomas and medals Feldman Ecopark. Young sportsmen of the Feldman Ecopark Ski and Biathlon Club gained victories in younger age groups among girls and boys as well. It should be noted that internationally certified judges from the Ski Sports Federation of Ukraine were referees of competitions.
“This is the first Open Cup Feldman Ecopark in the current season, we expect that its popularity among skiers will grow and next time we will bring together even more participants —the head of the Feldman Ecopark Ski and Biathlon Club Svitlana Ilinskykh noted. – We have good conditions here – there is an opportunity to go skiing in the picturesque forest among enclosures with beautiful animals, the festive hospitable atmosphere, additional entertainments for fans. It is very decent basis for the establishment of the family centre of winter sports – that’s what we’re striving for and what we’ve been working on.”
It should be reminded that the Feldman Ecopark Ski and Biathlon Club was opened in October 2016. It is one of the most popular sports direction within the 1,000 Teams Tournament project. About 50 children aged from 7 up to 14 years train in the Club free of charge all year round. Since 2017, the special programme for children with special needs, including vision-impaired children and children with musculoskeletal disorders is being implemented here. Lessons take place 3 times a week in the territory of the Social and Humanitarian Multi-Complex Feldman Ecopark.
