The Kharkiv ski race championship took place in the Feldman Ecopark this Sunday, March 4 within the 1,000 Teams Tournament project. 82 athletes in different age categories participated in the competitions, the youngest participant was 6 years old, and the oldest one was 57. Everyone was awarded with attendance certificates, and the winners and awardees received medals and sweet prizes from the ICF “Oleksandr Feldman Foundation”.
According to the organizers, the track has been constructed directly down the paths of the Regional Landscape Park, near the enclosures with animals. That’s why all participants of the championship received unforgettable impressions.
The members of the Ski and Biathlon Club Feldman Ecopark showed good results. Anastasiia Nekrasova and David Bessonov became winners in their age categories, Maksym Nekrasov, Ekateryna Skorobohatova and Solomiia Shulga were the second, and Vyctoryia Fedorycheva, Arsenyi Casymyr, Polina Stegacheva and Olha Buzadzhy became the third.
“Our Club is in its second year of operation. This season has shown that all children show significant progress. All of them up-graded their ski techniques, showed up progress not only at local, but also at the All-Ukrainian level. So, closing a current winter season, we look to the future with optimism” — the head of the Feldman Ecopark Ski and Biathlon Club Svitlana Ilinskykh noted.
It should be reminded that Feldman Ecopark Ski Club was opened in October 2016. It is one of the most popular directions within the 1,000 Teams Tournament project.70 children aged from 6 up to 15 years train in the Club. Lessons are free of charge and take place 3 times a week. Since autumn 2017, the special programme for children with special needs, including vision-impaired children is being implemented here.
