Holiday devoted to planet’s largest animals to take place in Feldman Ecopark

The World Elephant Appreciation Day and the World Rhino Day will be celebrated in Feldman Ecopark this Sunday, September 23.

“Elephants and rhinoceroses are great and stunning animals, which are among three largest land residents of our planet. And it is very symbolic that the holidays devoted to them (although each has own history) are celebrated on the same day. These large animals, like no one else, suffer from the reduction of their natural habitat and need our protection very much. And people should not forget about it,” the organizers of the holiday emphasized.

The thematic game programme “Call of the Jungles” will be devoted to the main heroes of the day. It starts at noon at the main location of the Social and Humanitarian Multi-Complex. While starting at 1 p.m., an interactive lecture with an interesting quiz “Elephants and Rhinoceroses” will take place there.

Moreover, the visitors to Feldman Ecopark will be able to watch the performance by the Theatre of Children and Animals “The Story of Snow White” (starting at 11.30 a.m.), to watch a show with horses and virtuoso riders at the Horse Complex (starting at 11.30 a.m.), to listen to and even to become a participant of an interactive performance by trio “Avzhezh” (violin, accordion, drums, starting at 12.30 p.m. at the stage of the children’s camp), to visit an exhibition of crafts made of natural materials by the group “Growing Up in Ecopark” (starting at 2 p.m., at the path near the animal theatre), to listen to a live classic music concert “In Harmony with Nature” (starting at 11 a.m., at the pavilion near the Swan Lake), to take part in bracelet plaiting and mehendi master classes (starting at 11 a.m.) and to attend an open-air art studio (starting at 10 a.m.).

While on Saturday, September 22, the visitors to the Social and Humanitarian Multi-Complex will also be welcomed by different entertainments: music, dances, game and interactive programmes for the little ones, the concert of the children’s vocal studio “Domisolka” (starting at noon, at the main location), ethno-holiday and performance “Ecopark Legends” by the Theatre of Children and Animals (starting at 11.30 a.m.).
