Orienteering Festival to take place in Feldman Ecopark

The Feldman Ecopark invites everyone to attend the orienteering festival, which will take place on May 7-22.  Everyone will be able to take part in mini-tournaments and quests absolutely free of charge. The participants will be provided with topographic maps of the Feldman Ecopark, and awarded with commemorative diplomas of the participants of the Orienteering Festival. The event is sponsored by the International Charitable Foundation “Oleksandr Feldman Foundation” within the framework of the project “1,000 Teams Tournament.”

“It is not the first time that the Orienteering Festival is held here, and it is always very popular,” the Feldman Ecopark’s director Andrii Roshchupkin notes. “This season, we are also very glad to invite everyone to take part in this event. There’s no need to be afraid of difficulties: the professional athletes of Kompas club will help and tell how to use topographic map and compass on site. Moreover, the World Orienteering Day will be celebrated on May 11 within the framework of the Festival. This day, each participant will get diplomas personally signed by the President of the International Orienteering Federation.”

It should be reminded that this year, the Festival opened the international days-long tournament Liga Kompas 2016. From April 30 to May 3, 400 athletes, both professional and amateur, aged 10-80 from various regions of Ukraine and the near abroad competed in racing speed on forest routes.
