The Tulip Festival started in Feldman Ecopark: more than 36, 000 plants (great representatives of early cultivars) bedded out this spring have already blossomed. Pink, yellow, violet, white and mix colored flowers of the finest and fantastic shades are already waiting for the experts. The culmination of this floristic fairy show is expected on May 9 – the maximum number of tulips will please the Ecopark’s guests by this time.
According to Mykola Dvoretskiy, the landscape architect of Feldman Ecopark, every spring the mass blossoming of tulips and narcissuses (we have more than 100 thousand flowers in the territory of a recreational zone of the Social and Humanitarian Complex) sometimes falls even on different months.
“Everything depends on weather and on plant varieties. This year we have tried to make their blossoming smoothly replaced, changed from Early to Late. If there is no cold snap or heavy rains, the Tulip Festival will last until the end of May — Mykola Dvoretskiy explained. – We have more than 50 sorts of tulips for every taste: Fringed, Double, Lilyflowering, Peonyflowering. Almost all varieties, including rare sorts, such as Orange Angelique and Golden Parade, Balerina are presented here. The guests will have a lot of interesting to see!”
It should be reminded that annually besides the spring Tulip Festival, the fall Chrysanthemum Ball takes place in Feldman Ecopark. This is the flower festival, largest in our country — it traditionally opens in the first October weekend and brings together a great number of guests from all Ukraine and the near abroad. Every time it breaks own records: in 2017, about 70 thousand people arrived to admire more than 35,000 chrysanthemums, which have been planted and exhibited here.
