The new comfortable bus with folding ramp for people with special needs started to run in the Feldman before the International Day of Disabled Persons. There is the place inside the bus, where a person may safely secure his or her wheelchair with the special lock. The carrying capacity of the practical and spacious bus is 100 places. The new bus has its own route – the Feldman Ecopark – Heroiv Truda underground station.
“It is very important for us that everyone was able to visit the Feldman Ecopark without difficulty, to enjoy communication with nature and animals, to take part in charitable programmes,” the director of the Ecopark Andrii Roshchupkin notes. “We try to erase any boundaries: physical, interconfessional, national and age-related ones. We devote the projects of the Ecopark to this idea and make everything possible for the residents and the guests of Kharkiv, regardless of their physical or financial abilities, to be able to enjoy their leisure free and in full.”
It should be noted that this is not a single vehicle provided by the Feldman Ecopark to carry people with special needs. There is also a special bus with 6 places for wheelchairs and 15 additional seats in it. The bus is used for excursion groups.
It should be reminded that the company’s transport of the Feldman Ecopark carries near 500,000 persons per year free of charge. The transportation is carried out with five passenger buses. In total, near 1,500,000 guests from 24 countries of the world visit Ecopark every year.
