From now it is possible to see young couple of capybaras in Feldman Eсopark. The vacation house and the pool for water procedures which are so loved by the biggest rodents in the world was equipped for them in the enclosure near a contact court yard .
“For the first time in history of the Ecopark capybaras settled here. These animals easily find a common language with people: they are very contact, good-natured, bright and easy teaching, – the deputy director Feldman Ecopark Valery Ivashchenko tells. – Capybaras, as well as other rodents are vegetarians. Their diet consists of grass, foliage, vegetables and fruit. It is important that they always had water in the enclosure as without it rodents feel uncomfortably. We try to provide the necessary amount of reviver that they could go to swim and dive at any time they want, as well as in the habitat”.
Capybaras like to bathe not only in water, but also in glory beams – these giant water pigs collect millions of likes in social networks. These rodents gained popularity due to the impressive sizes and good-natured temper. They are champions in size among all rodents of the planet – length of their body can reach one and a half meters, and weight – fifty kilograms. This animal is very loyal to other animals, and sometimes even suffers from them. In order not to become somebody’s lunch, they should be afraid of such predators as wild dogs, alligators, crocodiles, caymans, anacondas, jaguars, ocelots in the native habitat. We will note that capybaras live in moderate and rainforests of South and Central America, from Uruguay to Panama, and also in the northeast of Argentina.
