In family of the hoofed handsome Feldman Ecopark is a big recruitment. One year-old and two three-months-old European roes were transferred by residents of the Kharkiv region. They found animals in the wood. Foundlings were too helpless to resist predators, in particular, wolves, foxes and boars. Besides, kids who are still badly adapted for survival could die of hunger, – specialists say.
“What happened to the mother of kids the people who found animals don’t know, – the deputy director Feldman Ecopark Valery Ivashchenko tells. – We were asked to shelter young roes and their adult relative as people were rather afraid that they will become an easy prey if not for predators, then for poachers. We were pleased to take animals – the spacious open-air cage where they will keep the company to adult roes of Ecopark is already ready for them “.
Roes – new settlers have already gone for a medical examination by veterinarians who haven’t found any deviations in their health. Now newcomers are getting settled on the new place and meet new neighbors. For some time the keepers of Ecopark will feed the cubs on milk. At the same time, according to staff of Regional Landscape Park, little roes already confidently make the first real steps towards independent life and taste deciduous treats.
