The representatives of the Regional Landscape Park Feldman Ecopark participated in the applied research conference on medical and psychological rehabilitation in health resort institutions which took place on May 19-20 in Berminvody. The event was conducted in conjunction with the 155th anniversary of the “Berezovskii mineral waters” resort and the 55th anniversary of the psychotherapy department of the Kharkiv Medical Academy for Post-graduate Education (KhMAPE). The specialists on medical and psychological rehabilitation of the combatants from various healthcare and health resort institutions participated in the conference. They exchanged experience, and also have shown models of health resort rehabilitation. In particular, the conference attendees were acquainted with new approach to rehabilitation — Ecotherapy.
Conference attendees came to the conclusion that in recent times, the reorganization of the system of psychosocial assistance to ATO participants has yielded good results, however there is still plenty of issues that need to be addressed. “The events in Ukraine connected with military operations in the ATO zone and the presence of the IDPs dictate need for training of specialists capable to provide the emergency medical and psychological aid” — the head of the Psychotherapy department in the Kharkiv Medical Academy of Post-graduate Education, Doctor of Medical Science, professor Borys Mykhailov noted.
The conference programme has been added with demonstration of the working model of psychological support to the injured who participated in combat operations based on the Feldman Ecopark Centre of Psychosocial Rehabilitation. The conference attendees could observe in practice the specifics in combination of natural and contrived methods for psychosocial rehabilitation of ATO participants and members of their families.
