The Holodomor Remembrance Day will be celebrated in Ukraine on Saturday, November 26. This day in all cities of our country including Kharkiv, the campaigns commemorating the innocent victims of three Holodomors will take place, in particular, the most terrible tragedies of 1932-33 – when 4 million people starved to death in Ukraine. At 16:00 in all Ukraine a national minute of silence and the «Light a Memory Candle” campaign will take place.
In the Regional Landscape Park Feldman Ecopark will honor the memory of the Holodomor victims by means of thematic information events and installations. In the Ecopark’s territory the thematic banner will be established, the posters telling about tragic events of those years are prepared. There will be no loud music and and recreational events.
“The Holodomor events of 1932-33are considered to be a terrible crime not just against the Ukrainian people but against all mankind. It can’t be forgotten and forgiven. The memory of it is not only a tribute to millions of victims, but also a caution from repeating of such tragedy. The whole world celebrate this mournful date together with us “, – the Ukrainian MP Oleksandr Feldman noted.
