The old Jewish holiday of Hanukkah was celebrated in the Feldman Ecopark. The representatives of the Jewish community of Kharkiv gathered on the territory of the Regional landscape park on the celebration of kindness and light day.
“This wonderful holiday, I want to wish all the families kindness, understanding, love and health. According to the legend, the liberators of the Jewish people wanted to clear and consecrate the Temple in Jerusalem, and, as we know, a cup of oil was enough for a sacred fire to burn during eight days. I wish this holiday to be an example for us that miracles happen in our life, and they come to those who believe and wait,” said Ukrainian MP and the founder of the Ecopark Oleksandr Feldman.
After the menorah was lit and the traditional greetings said, the guests were able to sing and dance in the company of big fairy-tale characters, and treat themselves with traditional doughnuts.
This weekend, the New Year’s mail started its work in the Feldman Ecopark. Children were very active writing and drawing personal letters and wishes for Santa Claus. According to the organizers, during the weekend, these magic letters filled the mailbox completely.
Creative adults also prepared for New Year. They took part in the master classes of holiday décor making. Motley toys and original boxes for sweets were among top handmade things created by the guests of the Ecopark.
