On Sunday, July 17, the Feldman Ecopark had a bracing and refreshing holiday organized for all Kharkiv residents and guests. During these dog days, the Ice Cream Day came in very handy: the visitors took part in fun “water battles,” competitions, dances and treated themselves to the favourite refreshing dessert. The Association of mothers of many children “AMMA” helped the guests to cope with hot weather creatively. The talented masters taught how to create and decorate useful and practical accessories for this summer – the fans.
In addition, everyone were able to attend the lessons of the circus arts studio “Cheerful Arena,” and to learn a couple of amazing tricks with stilts and hula hoops under the guidance of skilled trainers. The show of soap bubbles with fairy-tale powerbockers were also in the programme of the studio.
The weekend was ended with a worldwide action of goodness “Hug a Tree.”
“The key idea of the event lied in the exchange of positive emotions with the trees. Plants provide people with oxygen. And the best thing we can give to the nature in return is our love and care. This weekend, we tried to do this with the help of hugs. Each tree in the Feldman Ecopark does good: birches, oaks, maples, firs, aspens – by hugging one of “vegetable residents” of the Feldman Ecopark, the guests were able to be filled with health, calm and inspiration,” the organizers tell.
During the action, the Feldman Ecopark’s visitors were able to read about the good of certain species of trees on special informational stands, and to take part in special photo shoots.
It should be noted that Hug a Tree action is very popular in Europe, Asia and America.
It should be reminded that various nature conservation actions for a whole family are regularly carried out in the Feldman Ecopark. Their main purpose is to teach guests to care of and to protect the environment correctly. The most famous Ecopark’s actions include the following: Saving a Life You Get a Friend, A Night of Bats, Give Life to a Butterfly, We Clean the World, and Let’s Preserve Primroses Together. In addition, the Feldman Ecopark annually supports such global actions as Earth Hour, Night of Museums and others.
