The festivities devoted to the World Crane Day will take place in Feldman Ecopark on Sunday, September 9.
“A crane is not only a very beautiful bird, but also an ancient one. Its ancestors lived on our planet in the era of dinosaurs. A lot of legends and popular beliefs are connected with cranes. In China they symbolize longevity, in Japan – wisdom, in some African nations – spiritual and physical revival, in Ancient Egypt it was a sign of prosperity, while our forefathers considered it the symbol of sun and the messenger of spring. Moreover, many species of this wonderful bird are rare and need our protection. And that’s what we would like to remind our visitors about,” the organizers of the festivities told.
This day, the visitors to the Social and Humanitarian Multi-Complex will be able to take part in the thematic game programme “Crany” that starts at the main location at noon after the performance by the circus studio “Neposedy.” At 1 p.m., an interactive lecture with interesting quiz devoted to these birds will take place near the enclosure with cranes. At the same time, at the mane location, everyone will be able to learn how to create a Japanese crane with the help of origami technique during the blitz-master-class. Moreover, the visitors to Ecopark will be able to attend the traditional master classes on bracelet plaiting (from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.), clay modeling (from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.) and the open-air art studio (from 10.30 a.m. to 3 p.m.), to listen to the classic live music concert near the Swan Lake (from noon to 5 p.m.) and the interactive performance by the trio “Avzhezh” (violin, accordion, drums) at the stage of the summer camp, during which it will be possible not only to enjoy the music, but also to become a participant of the improvised noisemaker orchestra.
The Theatre of Children and Animals has prepared for the visitors of the Multi-Complex a performance “The Legends of Ecopark” (starting at 11.30 a.m.), which will continue with the ethno-holiday with Cossack plays, master classes, predictor’s house, interactive dance floor, exhibition of rag dolls and fair.
