In Feldman Eсopark celebrated Children’s Day and congratulated May B-Day children

The festive programme prepared for Children’s Day took place in the Social and Humanitarian Multi-Complex during three days, since Friday June 1. Various games and quizzes, creative master classes, performances in the Theatre of Children and Animals as well as live music waited for the visitors. But the main thing — an opportunity to become participant of the campaign “The Art of Mercy”. As before, all activities in Feldman Ecopark are absolutely free.

Feldman Ecopark’s guests celebrated the Children’s Day in funny company of Fixies, which on Friday prepared unique game programmes for children “Fixie-Happiness” and held the children’s pavement drawing competition.

This day, the Theatre of Children and Animals presented a festive show “Cheerful Kaleidoscope”. On Saturday, on the same stage the audience was able to see a fairy play “Forest Song” (based on Lesia Ukrainka’s famous work).

Besides, on Saturday the artists of vocal studio “Domisolki” under the Kharkiv Regional House of Children and Youth Activities shared their creative achievements. The Enjoyable Path became the location for the professional clay modeling and Shamballa bracelet braiding master classes.

Sunday in Feldman Ecopark was devoted to those people who was born in May. Heroes of the day received a festive entertainment programme, a crown making master class and souvenirs as a gift.
Especially for the Children’s Day the members of the Children’s Ecology and Nature Study Academy of Feldman Ecopark prepared a quest for small young naturalists “Youngnatia State”. The quest’s participants moving from one “station” to another, carried out tasks for which they received youngnatiks (money, which are in use in the country of Youngnatia.) For youngnatiks little biologists were able to buy prizes. Implementing tasks demanded, both profound knowledge in biology, and good physical form.

Besides, on Sunday, the young naturalists could take home caterpillars of the rare, included in the Red Book giant silkworm moths butterflies or so-called emperor moths. “It’s very fascinating to observe how the emperor moths’ caterpillar develops by passing several age periods and changes its color to become a beautiful butterfly about the size of a palm.” — the head of the Theatre of Children and Animals Olena Harazhina told.

The laboratory of the H.S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University shared caterpillars of emperor moths with young biologists. Next year when the butterflies grow up, lay eggs and the new generation of caterpillars appear, they will be handed round young naturalists again. “Thus, children will not only study a curious cycle of butterfly’s development from a caterpillar, but also will make the contribution to preservation of a rare species which, unfortunately, is more often met under laboratory conditions and very seldom in the habitat” — Olena Harazhina added.

During three days, the charitable campaign “The Art of Mercy” continued in Feldman Ecopark. Everyone was able join it by demonstrating a creative talent in thematic card. As usual, during holidays in Feldman Ecopark the open-air art studio and the run bikes rental centre worked, the live classic music sounded in the Swan Lake pavilion, children and adults participated with pleasure in cheerful and fascinating game programmes from our animation group.
