In Feldman Ecopark the Mother Earth Day was celebrated by directly three campaigns of kindness and care of the nature. The Ecopark’s team and guests have undertaken gardening of the favorite leisure area of Kharkiv citizens and city visitors: savin juniper bushes have been planted on paths at the Feldman Ecopark’s main pond. Presently, thanks to this campaign the territory of the Regional Landscape Park is decorated by more than one hundred of such coniferous beauties.
“The Mother Earth Day is a specially congenial feast for Feldman Ecopark, our aim is to keep, protect and preserve variety of our surprising nature — the director of ICF “Oleksandr Feldman’s Foundation” Oleksandr Feldman told. — Every year we try to fill up the Ecopark’s green fund with hundreds new, useful and in the same time pleasing to the eye trees and bushes. It is really nice when our guests and even children help us to fulfill this mission. Let these lovely bushes be for younger generation a striking example of how thanks to human labor and care the miracles are born — the nature runs wild with new paints”.
The Feldman Ecopark’s representatives of fauna also received a special environmentally important gift. The inhabitants of aviary— ducks, hens and other domestic feathery friends will rest and bring up posterity in the new lodges. The best professionals — the Ecopark’s little guests and their parents were engaged in design of bird apartments. Armed with brushes and paints, switched on the boundless imagination, the folk artists represented spring in its best manifestations.
The solemn release of slider turtles became not less fascinating and interesting event harmonizing with the idea of the Mother Earth Day.
“When the nature finally weakened the snow grasp and a warm sun appeared, lazy Feldman Ecopark’s favorites left winter enclosures and went to summer residences — ponds — Valeriia Ivashchenko, the Feldman Ecopark’s deputy director of zootechnics told . — Tens of slider turtles saved and accepted in a gift from Ecopark’s friends will please guests every day in all decorative reservoirs”.
It should be reminded that slider turtles live in open ponds of the Regional Landscape Park that gives our guests the opportunity to observe their behavior without any barriers. The Ecopark’s keepers urge to follow the rules of conduct and under no circumstances to feed animals and not to throw up food in reservoirs. Turtles have the balanced diet to dilute with such “treatment” is extremely dangerous to pets’ health.
