A record number of visitors have arrived to watch these wonderful floristic figures.
The solemn opening of the sixth annual Chrysanthemum Ball took place in Feldman Ecopark on the weekend, October 7-8. Many guests were able to see nearly 35,000 wonderful flowers of different colours and forms on the paths of the Regional Landscape Park. It is a new record of Ukraine’s largest festival devoted to chrysanthemums. Moreover, the number of visitors of the floristics festival was also the highest: more than 60,000 persons managed to look at the vivid flowerbeds and take photos on the background of flower sculptures.
The organizers of the Ball, as usual, made everything possible to surprise the guests with the big flower figures of animals. This time, the heroes of countless selfies were the flower copies of the deer family, a rabbit, a bear, a hog, a ladybird, and other residents of Feldman Ecopark.
Live music helped to create an atmosphere of holiday – the symphony orchestra of the Kharkiv Philharmonic performed for the guests of the Regional Landscape Park. Everyone was able to take part in the thematic master classes devoted to the main heroes of the Ball – the flowers. The cultural programme was enriched with a big horse show and the performances of favourite artists.
“Flowers are always beautiful, fascinating, cozy, festive and interesting. Exactly this is the idea behind the new tradition, which was started six years ago – to make a bright festival of chrysanthemums during a usually dull month of October. It is pleasant that this idea is supported by the residents of Kharkiv and the visitors from other regions, as there are much more of them in Feldman Ecopark during the Chrysanthemum Ball,” the director of Feldman Ecopark Andrii Roshchupkin noted. “This time, we were able to implement almost all of our ideas, but some of them have not been put into life yet, so there will be definitely some new surprises during the next Chrysanthemum Ball.”
If the weather is fine, the flowers and flower compositions will please the visitors of Feldman Ecopark during nearly a month.
It should be reminded that the Chrysanthemum Ball takes place in Feldman Ecopark every year under the auspices of the International Charitable Foundation “Oleksandr Feldman Foundation” since 2012.
