Feldman Ecopark launched a new unique project based on Santa House Feldman farm — Young Handler’s School. Its curriculum focuses on teaching children how to treat dogs properly and train them. Training sessions are held in the farm grounds every weekend.
‘We are glad to present our new educational project for children. On the basis of Feldman Ecopark there are many options for the younger generation that allow children to learn about animals’ nature, take care of them, train them and help rehabilitate injured living creatures,’ noted People’s Deputy of Ukraine and founder of Ecopark Oleksandr Feldman. ‘I hope that soon Young Handler’s School will bring its fruit and we will be able to give the country many young specialists to contribute considerably into development of cynology.’
It should be noted that the teaching staff of the Young Handler School represents the best specialists of Santa House Feldman farm who possess many years of experience in breeding and training dogs and many instances of successful participation in Ukrainian and international exhibitions. They are the experts to teach children about anatomy of the four-legged friends, and peculiarities of their behavior and reactions. As the farm workers note themselves, a dog is a serious animal to deal with, and its behavior is difficult to predict, so the knowledge on animal psychology comes in handy. However, the main task is to develop love for animals in children.
It is supposed that in the nearest future best pupils of Santa House Feldman School will be able to represent Feldman Ecopark in two age groups at once at the All-Ukrainian Young Handler Competition organized by the Canine Expert Union of Ukraine.
