A new animal appeared in Feldman Ecopark Horse Complex to do equine-assisted therapy. Its name is Kalambur, it is 15 years old and is a Ukrainian Riding Horse. The horse was presented by White Stable Club (Kharkiv), an old friend and a partner of Feldman Ecopark.
“Our horse riders take part in different competitions held by the White Stable Equestrian Club on a regular basis, and the trainers of the Horse Complex often go there to attend master classes. We often help each other and share experience,” the head of humanitarian projects of Feldman Ecopark Iryna Yavorska told. “This horse is a calm gelding, a master of equestrian sports. It has an experience of work with children. The animal is clever and calm, and it is a perfect horse for equine-assisted therapy.”
They say in the Horse Complex that as soon as the new one adapts and undergoes training, it will immediately take up the duties of working with little and adult patients of Feldman Ecopark Centre of Psychosocial Rehabilitation.
It should be reminded that there are nearly a hundred ungulate animals in Feldman Ecopark Horse Complex – 45 horses, 26 ponies and 16 donkeys. 6 horses, as well as 2 ponies and 2 donkeys are involved in the programmes of equine-assisted therapy of Feldman Ecopark Centre of Psychosocial Rehabilitation. It is a unique project (launched in 2013), within which the professional psychologists and psychotherapist render complex assistance to children with special needs, teenagers with deviant behaviour, ATO veterans and families of IDPs.
